Privacy policy

This is a courtesy translation of the Czech privacy policy. If the two differ, the Czech version applies.

This website presents handmade items. It has no customer account and does not track visitors. Apart from messages you send through the contact form (see below), the only things it remembers about visitors are technical data for the view counter and for product ratings (see below).

Contact form

When you send me a message through the contact form, I store the name, e-mail and message text that you write yourself, and the moment you agreed to their processing. From your IP address I store only an irreversible fingerprint, which is used to protect the form against abuse (a limit on the number of messages per hour). I do not store the address itself. I use the data only to reply to your message and keep it for as long as necessary to handle it, for at most 12 months. I do not pass it to anyone or use it for advertising.

Views and ratings

The view counter raises a number on a product so that it is visible what gets looked at. To avoid counting the same visitor repeatedly, an irreversible fingerprint of their IP address is kept for about 24 hours and then deleted. I do not store the address itself.

When you rate a product, your vote (1 to 3), an anonymous code in a technical cookie “voter” (valid for one year) and an irreversible fingerprint of your IP address are stored. They serve only to make your vote count once per product and let you change it, and to limit abuse. Votes are shown only as totals and an average, and I do not link them to any person.

Cookies and tracking

The website uses no tracking or advertising cookies and no third-party scripts or fonts. While you work with the contact form, a technical cookie is briefly stored that protects the form against forged submissions. If you switch the language, a technical cookie “lang” with your choice is stored (valid for one year). On a first visit the language is chosen by the country you open the site from (if the website receives it from the network it runs behind) or by your browser language; this information is not stored.

Contact

If you write to me by e-mail at info@abbetonia.cz, I will use your address and message only to reply. You can ask me what data I hold about you, and ask for it to be corrected or deleted. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Czech Office for Personal Data Protection (Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů) or with the supervisory authority in your country of residence.
